Flip flops are the quintessential summer footwear. Although I will admit, I never could get into wearing them. Even when I was a kid, it weirded me out to have something between my toes like that. (Confession: My whole family did go through a Croc phase for summer and beach wear.)

Regardless, they do make for fun summer wear. You can even decorate flip flops to really jazz them up. Of course, if you don’t get too crazy with your decorating, flip flops can be perfect for the beach. This combination inspired today’s post and a free printable coloring page.

To celebrate summer beach fun, I have a free printable beach flip flop coloring page for kids and adults. The coloring sheet is detailed enough for adults and older children but can be colored in a simpler way for younger children to still have fun with it.

Summer Beach Flip Flop Coloring Page Free Printable

As I mentioned earlier, this free summer coloring sheet is detailed enough to keep older children, teens, and adults al occupied. They can get fancy with multi-colored shells, a variety of pebbles, and very fancy flip flops on the beach.

Younger children can also enjoy this coloring page, but may just be more apt to color larger areas all the same color. For instance, they may want to use only one color on the flip flops or just a couple of colors. That’s totally okay because it’s their page to use. There is no reason to make them feel overwhelmed by all the details.

Extend the Activity with Decorating Flip Flops and Flip Flop Art Projects

You can get some inexpensive flip flops at many stores or even on Amazon. I found this video that has some cute projects to make your flip flops really unique:

Pink Stripey Socks has this flip flop art project that allows for a lot of creativity and doesn’t even include needing to buy any actual flip flops.

Another flip flop-themed art project comes from Tippytoe Crafts and includes using a footprint. Handprint and footprint crafts are always fun keepsakes to look back on later.

You and your kids can decorate beach-themed cookies with this beach cookie cutter set that includes a flip flop cookie cutter, sunglasses cookie cutter, and palm tree cookie cutter.
