Free Printable Valentine Cards to Color for Kids (Set of 8 Cards) Post Preview: In this post, you will find a set of free black and white valentine cards to print and hand out to friends and classmates (either to color ahead of time or give along with some crayons). You will also find more resources and free printables for celebrating Valentine’s Day with kids.

Valentine’s Day is pretty fabulous, isn’t it? Sure, I’ll admit that – Eric and I don’t actually do anything special for Valentine’s Day. But, that’s not the reason I love Valentine’s Day anyway.

I have always loved it because of Valentine’s Day school parties. In fact, the Valentine’s Day party at school was always my favorite of the year. Decorating homemade boxes for collecting valentine cards and getting cards and candy from friends was just the best.

It’s probably on account of those special memories that I have several sets of free printable valentine cards for kids here on the site – religious valentine cards, Star Wars valentine cards, funny valentine cards for teens and tweens, plus so many more.

This year, I’m adding a new set to the collection with this free printable set of Valentine cards to color.

I love this new set because it’s my only set of valentine cards that are black and white. That makes printing at home so much easier for many of you!

Do you want to know another reason I love this set? They’re full of kind messages. Everyone needs a lot more kindness in their lives. These messages are uplifting and positive. I really love that.

Each design includes a child in a heart along with some positive affirmation or message

How to Print and Use This Set of Valentine Cards to Color

The first thing you will need to do is download the color your own valentines document farther down in this post. I recommend saving it to your computer or device since sometimes web browsers do weird things to pdf files. (If you run into issues with the printable, I have some advice.)

This set is a four page PDF document. It includes a cover, terms of use page, and two pages of printable valentines with four valentines per page for a total of eight valentines.

Unlike all of my other printable valentines, these cards do not need to be printed in color. The best way to print these would be to use white cardstock. That way, the cards will be much sturdier for passing out to friends. (If you’re looking for a printer, this is the newest version of the laser printer we have here at home, which we love.)

Who Should Color The Valentines?

Here’s another fun thing about these valentines: you get to pick who colors the valentines!

Some Options:

1. If your child really loves to color, they can color all of the valentines before handing them out at school.

2. However, if you want to include a little surprise, you can print out the valentines and hand them out uncolored and include something like one of these Crayola party favor packs of four crayons with each valentine.
