I love making printable valentine cards! Not only are they fun for me to make, but it’s also fun knowing that there are people all over printing them out and handing them out on Valentine’s Day. I’m squeaking in right before Valentine’s Day to share one more set of valentines that were inspired by my daughter, Molly. This is a set of funny printable valentine cards for teens and tweens. These are especially perfect valentine cards for girls.

Before I go on, let me say that I know that I just said they are especially perfect for girls. If you have a boy that wants to use them, then print them out and let him use them, I say full of enthusiasm!

I just mentioned girls because I know that many of the designs are typically going to appeal to girls more often than boys of that age. I have one teenage son that would not give any of these out if I begged him and another teenage son that I think would happily give several of these to his group of friends. (Both of my boys tend to hang out with both boys and girls.)

Okay, so back to these funny valentines for teens and tweens. My tween daughter has recently been a little bummed about Valentine’s Day because she is the only one of her friends without a boyfriend right now. We have repeatedly told her that it is completely appropriate to not have a boyfriend at 12 years old. I mean, really – what the heck? There is so much time for that later!

In fact, then we have tried to tell her that it’s also perfectly fine and normal to not have a boyfriend when you’re 16 or 19 or 27 or whatever. Find someone you like who also likes you and treats you well, and don’t feel like you have to have a boyfriend just because everyone else does.

So, when we saw the familiar saying “Fries before Guys” on a shirt while we were out recently, I thought, “Hey – why not make a fun set of valentines that are perfect for giving out to friends?” That was the start of these funny valentines for teens and tweens.

I was nervous to show these to Molly after I made them, since that age of kid can be so fickle. As soon as she started looking through them, she kept laughing. Then she declared that she wanted about half of them to cut out and put up on the bulletin board in her room. Score!

Details about Printing the Funny Printable Valentine Cards for Teens and Tweens

This set of printable valentine cards for teens and tweens is broken up into two separate pages. They are both free downloads, but I figured that would be easier, in case you only wanted one set of them.

Each page features four different funny valentines with fun designs. You could just use one page or you might want to use a mix of both pages.

Oh, and I know that I said these are valentine cards for teens and tweens, but, you know, if you really want to print one out for one of your own gal pals and attach it to a bottle of wine, that’s up to you. No judgement. You might also have friends that are like fabulously magical unicorns. I know I do.

Just click on the text links to download each set (farther down in this post). You might want to save them to your computer after you download them. Make sure that your Adobe Acrobat Reader is up to date, as they are PDF files, and that is the best way to use PDF files. (Your web browser’s PDF reader could possibly even make printables look all wonky, so if that happens, check out my ideas for help.)

Once you are ready to print your valentines:

While you can print the valentines on regular printer paper, I would definitely recommend printing these on white cardstock to make them feel more like a standard valentine card.

These are best printed in color, of course. This is the newer version of the color laser printer that we love and use at home. Here is great option for a color inkjet printer as well.
