Even though September is starting to wind down, it’s not too late to do this word search featuring the names of some of the saints and feast days that fall in the month of September.
I really like this fun printable because not only do I like word searches, but I also like that this helps children become more familiar with the names of saints and feast days. Some of the ones listed are going to be more familiar to them, while other saints or feast days will be ones they may not have heard of before. That could be a great excuse to look up more information about that saint or feast day!
You can also extend the activity, if you would like, by asking students to do something such as find out one fact they didn’t know before about a saint on the list. Or, for older children, you might even ask them to write a paragraph or two about the saint of their choosing that appears on the word search.
Another quick follow up activity could be to ask children find out the correct date for each feast day.

I fill in for religious studies at my church sometimes and these are great to get the kids thinking and REALLY learning something about their faith which is hard at this church. Thank you!
