I have noticed that people of are very different minds when it comes to word searches.  There are people like my son (with high functioning Autism) and my Mom who hate them and find looking for words tedious.  And, then there are people like me and my good friend Kris who love the thrill of scanning a page of letters to find the elusive words.

This Catholic Word Search Printable is perfect for kids in both camps of the word search debate.  It is small enough (with big letters) for kids who have difficulty with word searches, but still fun for kids who love to them.  With just nine hidden words in this word search, it also makes it more doable for kids in the anti-word search camp.

Terms found in the Catholic Word Search include: Amen, Catholic, Crucifix, Holy, Jesus, Mary, Rosary, Sacraments, Saints.  The words can be found running up and down, left to right, and diagonal.

Note: This download is free for personal, classroom, and church bulletin/newsletter use. It cannot be sold, published, or hosted on other websites. If you want to pass along the printable though, please feel free to share a link to this post (not directly to the printable) with others. Thanks!

I really liked the Christmas Activity Placemat. One of my jobs is to put together some activity for the kids to do before religious ed classes start, and that was a very popular activity. Even the younger kids enjoy the word searches. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for your wonderful color sheets. I use them in my ministry at Children’s Hospital, whether at their bedside or at our Children’s Prayer Time. The kids enjoy them so much. Even some parents ask for one and they color along with their children. The figures are delightful and have peaceful expressions. I particularly enjoy using the one’s that teach prayers, or have Bible verses, they are comforting and encouraging for children and their families. Older and younger children alike enjoy the word searches. They often have competition with their parents to see who can finish first. Thank you so much for your ministry.

Thanks SO much for the Catholic Word Search. My wife and I teach First Penance and First Communion classes to 2nd graders at St. Matthew’s parish in Seattle, WA. We love sharing our Catholic faith with the children. It is a blessing to be a witness to the amazing grace that Jesus offers us through the sacraments! God bless you and your family!
