Stations of the Cross Word Search Free Printable Post Preview: Perfect for Lent, learning about the Stations of the Cross (or Way of the Cross), or any time of year, this post contains a set of Stations of the Cross word search printables for kids as well as other Stations of the Cross resources for kids.
In addition to doing reflections on the Stations of the Cross with kids, it can be a great idea to help them get more familiar with what each station is. While you can work on that with a Stations of the Cross list, a Stations of the Cross word search is another way to work on learning the stations.

The link farther down in the post for the download includes two different free versions of the Stations of the Cross word search printable. There is an easier version and a harder version.
You won’t have to pick which version you want before you download the packet, however. Just download the whole free set and then pick out the one that will be the best fit for your children or students. You will then only print what works best for you since both versions are in the same download.
The easier and harder versions are very similar with one important difference, which I’ll talk about a little more farther down. Both puzzles feature an area that may be colored in. This area has drawings of the second, third, and fourth Stations of the Cross.
The Easier Version of the Stations of the Cross Word Search Printable
In the easier version of the Stations of the Cross word search printable, all of the stations are written out in the “clue” part of the printable. Students will look for one word per station in the word search. Those words are underlined.
Words can be found in the puzzle going left to write and up and down.
The Harder Version of the Stations of the Cross Word Search Printable
The harder version of the Stations of the Cross word find is exactly the same as the easier version, except for one twist. One word is missing in each station. Students must fill in that word and then look for it in the puzzle.
If you want the challenge of the harder version, but not quite as difficult, you could write up a word bank of the 14 words on your chalk or dry erase board.
The Stations of the Cross word find set is free for personal, classroom use, or religious education use. When you make copies, please make sure that you keep the copyright information on all copies.
