As we make our way through Lent, there are a lot of words that may or may not be familiar to children. This free printable Lent word search, which also includes words for Holy Week, will offer up a great opportunity for discussions, especially if children would come across terms they are not familiar with.
This printable is perfect for both Catholic children and other Christian children for whom the terms in this puzzle are part of their religious traditions.
Of course, if just a word or two aren’t quite what you’re used to, it can be a great chance to explain that some things have other names in other religious traditions. For instance, maybe you call the Thursday of Holy Week “Maundy Thursday” instead of “Holy Thursday.”

Thanks for sharing and for taken the time to create all these. Very helpful.
I love your website; but if I want to use any of your printables it makes me download a converter extension and then, I get all kinds of spam for cleaning up my system. Is there another way to do this?
Hi Leslie –
It sounds like you’re clicking on an ad that is taking you away from the site, rather than on the link to download the printable. You’ll want to look toward the end/middle of the post for download links.
I also emailed you a screenshot of the area of the post you should be looking for.
I hope that helps!
