August Word Search Printable Puzzle for Kids

Oh, August. I know that some of you are still enjoying summer break, of course. Around here, however, it means a final couple of weeks of summer and then the beginning of school. It kind of makes it a weird month for us. However, this means also means it’s time for a free August Word Search Printable Set for Kids.

This download includes two different free versions of the August word search. There is an easier version and a more difficult version.

In addition to the different levels, each of those has an additional two versions. In one version, the letters are in a grid and in the other, they are not. I feel like the grid version is best solved using a highlighter whereas on the one without a grid letters can be circled or you can use a highlighter.

You won’t have to pick the version you want to do before you download though. You can just download the free set and then pick out the one that will be the best fit for your children or students and only print what works best for you.

August Word Search Printable for Kids

The easier version of the August word search printable has eight words that are associated with August, as well as coloring areas of ice cream cones and a fan. The harder version of the word search has 15 words and phrases plus the same coloring areas.

If you prefer to skip out on the coloring areas, these word search puzzles could also be printed on festive bright summer colored papers instead of plain white paper.

The easier version has eight words. The words can be found going up and down, left to right, and diagonally.

• Augustus (Caesar) – August was named after Augustus Caesar. Only Augustus is in the puzzle, however, which is why Caesar is in parentheses
• Peridot – One of the birthstones of August
• Poppy – One of the flowers of August
• Gladiolus – The other flower of August
• Friendship Day
• Baseball
• Pool
• Hot
• Vacation
• School

Both versions include an answer key. Since the packet also includes a terms of use page, this means the free packet is seven pages long.
