It’s August, so it’s the perfect time for an August Saints and Feast Days word search. You know, because that’s how that works, being August and all.
I really like this fun printable because not only do I just generally enjoy word searches, but I also like that this helps children become more family with the names of saints and feast days. Some of the ones listed are going to be more family to them, while others will be ones they may not have heard of before.
While this can be an easy activity to do with kids, you can also extend the activity, if you would like, by asking students to do something like find out one fact they didn’t know before about a saint on the list. Or, for older children, you might even ask them to write a paragraph or two about the saint of their choosing that appears on the word search.
Another quick follow up activity could be just to ask children find out the correct date for each feast day.
