Fresh and Easy Homemade Whipped Strawberry Butter Recipe Post Preview: Do you have some beautiful fresh strawberries to use up in tasty strawberry recipes? Or maybe you want to impress at a brunch? You’ll love this Whipped Strawberry Butter on pancakes, toast, and more!

I have shared in the past the fond memories I have of picking strawberries when I was a kid. We would go to a U Pick farm every year or two. Of course, I’m not sure if I actually remember picking any strawberries. I do, however, remember playing with friends and occasionally getting to eat a strawberry.

If going to a U Pick farm to get strawberries with my own kids when they were little was any indication, I was probably very little help. However, they are still special memories and one that I have enjoyed doing with my kids as well. Of course, when they got a little older, it was more helpful.

If you’ve got a lot of fresh strawberries around, whether you went out to pick them or you just found a great deal, I have a recipe for you today! Of course, I will always recommend making some of your own Easy Strawberry Freezer Jam (yum!), but today I’m sharing a Homemade Whipped Strawberry Butter Recipe.

Fresh and Easy Homemade Whipped Strawberry Butter Recipe

Before I go on, I want to add a special note about using other berries in this recipe. If you have an overabundance of other berries, you can actually use those instead.

You could make Whipped Blackberry Butter, Whipped Blueberry Butter, or Whipped Raspberry Butter, for example. Just use the berries of your choice in the recipe instead of strawberries. Or, get a little wild and use a couple of types of berries!

So, even though you are welcome to try other berry butters, I’m going to focus on strawberries for this recipe. Strawberries are by far my favorite berries, as well as the favorite of most people in my family. So, Homemade Whipped Strawberry Butter it is!

You can use this Whipped Strawberry Butter on English muffins, homemade bread (especially when it’s nice and warm!), toast, French toast, waffles, pancakes, bagels, or anything else that strikes your fancy.

This quick and easy recipe will make one log of Whipped Strawberry Butter. If you want to make more or try some with other berries, make sure you pick up more of the ingredients at the store!

Whipped Strawberry Butter Ingredients

  • 1 cup of butter (2 sticks), softened
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries

Yes, that’s right – just three ingredients for this easy strawberry butter recipe! You could make two batches to have some for yourself and then surprise a friend with a butter log as a gift!

You can often get a particularly good price on quality stick butter around holidays, so that’s always a good time to stock up!

Note: You will also need wax paper for forming your butter log.

Whipped Strawberry Butter Directions

1. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with an electric mixer on medium speed for approximately 30 seconds, until smooth and creamy.

2. Add the powdered sugar to the butter and mix with the electric mixer until well combined.

3. Add the strawberries to your sweetened butter mixture. Use a fork or potato masher to crush the strawberries into your butter.

Do not completely crush all of the berries; some can remain whole (or mostly whole) for added texture in the butter. You can decide on your preference for this and go with it.

How to Make Homemade Strawberry Butter

4. Use a fork to mix the berries through the butter.

5. Spoon the whipped strawberry butter into the shape of a log in the center of a sheet of wax paper. The log should be about 8 inches long.

Note: If you don’t want the log shape, you could opt to just put the mixture into a butter crock or small reusable food storage container and then refrigerate it.

Can the strawberry butter be frozen? If so, for how long?
