Not only is baking cookies a fun and delicious Christmas-themed activity, but Christmas cookies make for great literacy and math Christmas printable activities too!

Plus, speaking of cookies – did you know that December 4th is National Cookie Day? You could do cookie activities, bake cookies, and even put some cookies into your math and language arts.

Christmas Printable Activities for Elementary Literacy and Math

With this elementary Christmas printable activity packet, you’ll get eight total pages for four separate activities. There are two language arts activities and two math activities.

The grade level on this varies, since student abilities and plans of study can differ quite a bit. However, I would say this is best for literacy and math activities for first through third graders. On the upside, this is a totally free instant download. So, you can grab the packet below and just use what really works for you.

Christmas baking and a fun engineering project? Score!

Christmas Cookies Literacy and Math Activities Packet Contents

Each of the four activities has two pages. One page of the activity has a grid of blank boxes with 12 – 14 spots that are numbered. There is also a fun coloring area on each of those pages.

On the second page of each activity, there is also a grid and it has a corresponding number of boxes. That page is in color and it contains a problem for the student to solve. They will then write their answer into the corresponding box number on their black and white page.

If you are in a classroom or group setting, you may prefer to have fewer of the color pages and maybe even laminate them for multiple students to use them. This also makes these activities perfect to use in learning centers.

Activities in this Packet:

  • Double Digit Addition (here’s another activity for that using LEGO Bricks)
  • Verb Tenses – given a choice of two verbs to put into a short sentence that is Christmas and baking themed
  • Alphabetical Order – each box has three Christmas and baking themed words in it that they have to put into alphabetical order
  • Written Form Numbers into Numerals – The color page has numbers in written form and students will write the numerals onto their response sheet
