St. Patrick’s Day Mini Books – Free Printable Emergent Readers Post Preview: This post contains a set of three free printable St. Patrick’s Day mini books for beginning readers.

St. Patrick’s Day is coming up and I thought I would share these fun and free St. Patrick’s Day Mini Books that I made for emergent readers.

Although the last page of the mini books in all three versions mentions St. Patrick’s Day, it is also possible to just leave that page off and they suddenly become appropriate for any time of the year. Bonus!

St. Patrick’s Day Mini Books – Free Printable Emergent Readers

These free beginning readers are in a 16 page document that is an instant download. It includes three versions of the same easy reader.

The free printable emergent readers use repetition to focus on words like look, it, and is. Beginning readers will also become familiar with a word that might not be familiar to them: clover.

There are also color words for green, blue, purple, pink, yellow, orange, green, and red.

In one of the versions of the St. Patrick’s Day mini books, children simply read the pages that appear with already colored in shamrocks.

In a second version, the words all still appear, but the shamrocks are now all white. Students should color the clovers the appropriate color based on what they read on the page.

In the last version, the shamrocks are already colored in, but the student must write in the correct color word.

Different versions of the mini-book will be appropriate for different children. You will download all of the version together, however, so this means that you can go back to a familiar story as they grow.
