We loved being part of our homeschool co-op for many years while we were homeschooling. It was sometimes a lot of work, especially since I always taught one or two classes. However, it was always wonderful to be with other families, as well as for my kids to take classes that I didn’t have the time, talent, or patience to work on at home.

In the past, we have shared lots about homeschool co-ops. Here are just a few that you might also be interested in:

One thing that can be difficult when co-ops are starting to piece together who will be teaching next school year and what they are planning to teach is that it can sometimes be hard to find people to teach the classes. Sometimes, I think that there are people who are willing to teach some fabulous classes – they just can’t think of what that fabulous class will be.

That’s where this post comes in. This is actually a post that I originally wrote in 2009. While it was a fine post, I have spent time recently adding in more ideas for homeschool co-op classes. What I ended up with was well over 150 homeschool co-op class ideas!

Hopefully with all of these great ideas, you’ll be able to find one that makes you super excited to start teaching a new co-op class.

150+ Excellent Topic Ideas for Your Homeschool Co-op Classes

I considered breaking up class ideas by grade and age level. However, I think that so many of these topics can be used across a variety of ages and grades depending on how you plan them.

For example, a beginning French class for preschoolers might include learning colors, numbers, and basic words and phrases with a lot of songs, games, crafts, and activities. Whereas a beginning French class for high school students will look very different, with some of those fun activities, but which would also include reading and writing, conjugating verbs, and more.
