Eight Fall-themed Free Skip Counting Printables Packet for Kindergarten – 3rd Grade: Help reinforce the learning of basic multiplication facts with these eight free math worksheets that focus on skip counting.

I think it’s funny that a lot of people have some very specific memories about learning their multiplication basic facts. What’s that about? How does that become such a core memory for so many people?

I remember working on my basic multiplication facts with flashcards that I had at home. I have always been a big fan of flashcards for learning information, even as a kid. Flashcards aren’t for everyone, for sure. But young Angie liked the repetition and was generally kind of nerdy. I was still making flashcards in college, so I guess it just worked for me. (And, for the record, I’m still pretty nerdy.)

I have a fall-themed skip counting packet I hope will make some of that basic fact learning stress a little less stressful and a little more fun. There are eight free pages of skip counting worksheets to work on basic facts practice!

Note: The link to get the free skip counting printables set is available toward the end of this post.

When learning basic multiplication facts, repetition is crucial. Although flashcards are effective, packets like this can also be a great aid in repetition and practice.

With this packet, kids can work on:

  • Skip counting from a number that is in the “ones” facts up to the number that is in the “tens” facts

Free Skip Counting Printables for 2nd – 5th Grade Content Included

This free downloadable packet is ten pages long. The packet includes a cover page and a terms of use/copyright page. The terms of use/copyright page also includes directions for how to use the worksheets with students. You likely won’t need to make copies of either of these pages.

Skip Counting Mazes Packet

The skip counting packet has 10 pages in total. (This includes the cover page and terms of use/copyright page.)

The eight other pages in the packet are all apple mazes that work on skip counting.

There are pages for counting by the following numbers:

  • 2s to 20
  • 3s to 30
  • 4s to 40
  • 5s to 50
  • 6s to 60
  • 7s to 70
  • 8s to 80
  • 9s to 90

Students have a couple of options for how they can complete the mazes. One option is that students can draw a line to finish the maze. The other option is that they can color each of the apples in their skip counting maze to show how they will skip count their way through the maze.

Ages for This Printable Skip Counting Set

This packet is good for any student working on skip counting, learning their basic multiplication facts, or as a good way to review. While the grade that children learn this varies, this packet will generally be good for children in kindergarten to 3rd grade, depending on their needs and abilities.

While I have mentioned multiplication many times, skip counting is something commonly worked on as early as kindergarten. So, even if multiplication seems far off on the horizon for your children or students, they might already be working on skip counting!

This packet may also be appropriate for children older than the suggested age range, depending on individual abilities and educational needs.

Since this is a free download, you’ll be able to get it and check it out before deciding whether to use it.
