That time of year is coming up that sends many Catholic parents into a place of craft-phobia: time to make First Communion banners. There’s no reason for you to be worried about this fun and meaningful project! I have shared how to make a First Communion Banner in the past. 75+ Design Ideas for First Communion Banners
I took these banner pictures at two different parishes during 2014. You’ll notice, as I’ve mentioned before, that different parishes have different guidelines for what they want as far as size and general appearance.
Both parishes, it appeared, provided the actual banner to the children, although at one of the parishes, there were a variety of color options. It’s important to be sure that you know the guidelines of your own parish before you begin.
As I have done before, if a child’s last name appears on the banner, I have blurred it out.
Also, as you may guess from the difference in pictures, one of the parishes hangs their banners where they are closer to eye level, while the other hangs them up high above the pews.
