December Word Search Printable Puzzle for Kids Post Preview: The free instant download word search features two versions with two different levels of difficulty for each layout type. This post includes other ideas for December fun.

I have to admit something here – December is not always my favorite month. Despite it including great holidays and both mine and my dad’s birthday, it can be cold, dark too early, and stressful (especially with the end of a school semester). All of that aside though, I’m usually pretty pleased to have December show up.

I already have popular posts on the site offering a free Winter Word Search printable and a free religious Christmas word search printable, which are both perfect for December. I figured that since I’ve done several month-specific word searches, it was time for a free December Word Search Printable.

Free December Word Search Printable for Kids - There are two versions of this printable with two different levels of difficulty for each layout type. | Real Life at Home

This download includes two different free versions of the December word search. There is an easier version and a more difficult version.

In addition to the different levels, each of those has two versions. In one version, the letters are in a grid and in the other, they are not. The grid version may be best solved using a highlighter whereas on the one without grid letters can be circled or you can use a highlighter.

You won’t have to pick the version you want to do before you download though. You can just download the free set and then pick out the one that will be the best fit for your children or students and only print what works best for you.

This gingerbread house paper craft is a great Christmas activity for kids of all ages. It's an open-ended art activity, since children can decorate the gingerbread house craft how they want. This post includes a free printable gingerbread house paper craft template.

The easier version of the December word search printable has eight words that are associated with December, as well as coloring areas of a gingerbread man scene and an area with a pair of mittens. The harder version of the word search has 12 December holidays and words plus the same coloring areas.

If you prefer to not worry about the coloring areas, these word search puzzles could also be printed on festive colored papers instead of plain white paper.
