It’s time for another Catholic Printables Packet! For this latest Catholic Printables Packet, I opted to do a free 13-page worksheet and printables packet all about American-born Saint Katharine Drexel, whose feast day is March 3rd.

This packet is age-appropriate for elementary-aged children.  Since the packet is a free download, you can pick the pages that are most age and ability appropriate for the child or children that you’re using it with.

As usual, I’ll have to give my special shout out to my husband, Eric, for taking the time to draw Saint Katharine Drexel for my use in this packet.  Because of that, the Saint Katharine Drexel clip art should not be taken and used in any other projects or for any other use.  Thanks for taking care of this part of packet-making for me, Eric!

The Saint Katharine Drexel Printables and Worksheet Packet Includes

  • A Terms of Use and Directions Page
  • Saint Katharine Drexel Word Search (and Solution)
  • Saint Katharine Drexel Coloring Page
  • All About Saint Katharine Drexel Fact Sheet to Fill Out
  • Two Handwriting Pages (one printing, one cursive) that also feature a coloring area of St. Katharine Drexel
  • A Cut Apart Page Where Children Put Words about Saint Katharine Drexel in Alphabetical Order (There is also a second version for younger children with the first letter of the word to help them put it in alphabetical order.)
  • Four pages of handwriting pages with quotes from Saint Katharine Drexel on them (There are two quotes total, with two versions of writing lines for each quote.)

A great way to extend this packet might be to use it along with reading the book Saint Katharine Drexel: Friend of the Oppressed by Ellen Tarry and Don Bolognese.

This download is free for personal or classroom use, but the copyright credit line must be included. It cannot be sold, published, or hosted on other websites. If you want to pass along the printable, please feel free to share a link to this post (not directly to the printable) with others.  More terms of use are included on the first page of the packet and you can read some here too. Thanks!

You may reproduce these pages for multiple classrooms, church bulletins, or Vacation Bible School programs as well, but it may not be reproduced to be distributed to a group larger than single parish use.  If you want a larger use than a single parish or school, please contact me.

      Hi Abby!

I just looked up your email address in the email system that I use, and it says that the sending of the email to you failed. I wonder if it was blocked by your school email server. That happens sometimes. Do you happen to have another email address that you use?

If that doesn’t work for you, I can probably get up a very inexpensive listing for it in the shop. I usually try to do that for things like this that are opt-ins. I figured that I already had a listing for it, but then I realized that I didn’t.

Angie: Tried to get the St. Katharine Drexel packet. Submitted my name and email address 2-3 times with no success. Why do we have to prove we are subscribers to get the packets?

      Elizabeth –

I just checked in your subscriber account this morning and it shows that a link has been clicked in the email that was sent to you for this printable set. If that is somehow an error and you still haven’t received the email, let me know.

To answer your question about why some packets are just for subscribers – I will be honest – I would LOVE to just give away everything that I make for free with a link in the post and not worry about it. Unfortunately, it’s been my experience (from when I used to do that) that people usually won’t subscribe then. So, while I still keep the vast majority of printables on my site totally free to just click and download, I have some items that are longer and/or took more time that are just for subscribers. Like a bonus for them. 🙂 So, those things are set up to be sent through the company I use for email newsletters.

It’s not so much that you have to “prove” that you’re a subscriber to get it. This is just the delivery system set up for a small percentage of the free printables on Real Life at Home. Think of it more as the form being a request to get the packet sent to you. It will be sent to anyone, whether they are a subscriber or not. It’s just that if they’re not a subscriber yet, once they get it and click it, they get added to the list. If you’re already a subscriber, this just acts as a way to tell the system, “Hey – send this to me.”

Like I said – I would love to give everything away for free with no strings attached. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t have incentive to keep making things to give away because I would need to go out and find a full time job to help my family and would be too tired to make free things to give away. This way, I can charge for a very few things, make a few more subscriber exclusive, and give away the vast majority, and then I get to stay home with my kids and have time to make more stuff for the site. 🙂
