Our Lady of the Rosary

Teaching your children the rosary may seem like a daunting task, but it’s a vital part of our Catholic culture and heritage. You’ll find six reasons to teach children to pray the rosary here, but I’ll be we can all come up with many more.

In my house, we started out simple, by teaching the children how to pray the Hail Mary before bed. My 5 year old daughter now leads the prayer, which warms my heart.

How about a Rosary coloring page for your little ones? You could work on praying a decade, while your children color in the beads to keep up. Another idea would be a rosary collage – try tearing or cutting colorful tissue paper that your children could glue on each bead.

As you get more in depth, you can teach them the Joyful mysteries, the Sorrowful mysteries, and the Glorious mysteries.

Need more variety or practice? More rosary coloring pages can be found here.

Mini Rosary Booklets

A Rosary box will help you feel connected to each mystery.

Lacy from Catholic Icing has rosary book craft that I love, too.

    Hi Dianna —

Thank you so much for stopping by Magic Marker Monday with your lovely craft ideas. The beads and pipe-cleaners look particularly fun to try with little ones! 🙂
