December Activities for Families and Kids: Free Printables | RealLifeAtHome.com

Each month, I have a printable of faith formation activities for Catholic families.  Last December, I also made two different styles of printables that I thought everyone getting ready for Christmas would be able to enjoy.

Now that it’s almost December, you might want to grab one of the four options of printables for December featuring ideas to get your family ready for Christmas, as well as to celebrate the richness of Advent.

In this post, two of the options that I’m sharing are for any family who is getting ready for Advent and Christmas, while two of the options are specifically for Catholic families.  Plus, at the end of the post, I’m going to share a few more December activity printables, worksheets, and coloring pages for kids to enjoy during December.

All of these printables were made by me for Real Life at Home, it’s just that they were all made before I merged my sites into Real Life at Home.  So, the sites listed on the printables for the copyright information are all of the sites that I had that I merged together.  They all redirect here now though.

Fun and Meaningful Family Activities for December Printable

Fun and Meaningful Family Activities for December Printable

This one was originally featured on The Homeschool Classroom last year (before the blog merger).  It has 25 squares (including one free space), which can make it perfect to use as a pseudo Advent calendar.  I liked the idea of this being no pressure though, so my idea was that people could do one activity, all of the activities, or just make it a goal to get a “Bingo” by doing all of the activities in one row/column.

If the thought of 25 activities on the above printable made you a little anxious, you might try out this printable that I originally had on Many Little Blessings last year (again, before I merged all of the blogs together this year) where I included ten activities on the page to prepare for Christmas.

Religious Christmas Word Search for Kids (Two Versions)

If your kids love word searches, these Christmas themed word searches will be perfect.  There are two versions of this word search to make it appeal to a wider range of ages.

10 Activities for Catholic Families in December Free Printables (Two Options)

If you want some Catholic-specific activities, you can take your pick between the 2012 version or the 2013 version.  There is probably some overlap in the lists, but the 2013 got decidedly more wordy.  Check them both out and decide which one you might prefer to use this year:
