Games are a great way to teach kids about any subject.  They can make learning about art fun, interactive and hands-on.

Here are a Few of My Favorite Art Games for Kids

Online games:

NGAkids Art Zone  The National Gallery of Art Kid’s Zone has 12 different online interactive games for your student to play.  Some are so intriguing you might find yourself not wanting to share with your child.

One of my favorites is Sea-Saws, an interactive collage game where students can create their own seascape collage easily!  It even puts their collage into motion when they are done!

Swatchbox is another favorite, a paint program that allows you to experiment with mixing paint colors, hues and so much more.

Connecting Art

“Creativity Express is animated online Art Education for children ages 7-97. Sixteen cross-curricular lessons teach the elements and principles of art, with an added focus on empowering kids’ inner creativity, imagination and critical thinking skills.”

All three of my children ages 5-13 have loved and still love this fun art curriculum that uses games and fun to teach all about art!

Artie’s House A website for ages 4-12 that teaches about art and artists through fun interactive games.

Card and Board Games:
