With three kids busy in school and extracurricular activities, our days are sometimes extremely full. Since we still try to eat dinner together every night, it means that snacks are an important part of our meal plan, since sometimes dinner has to be early or late to accommodate that. However, since our days are so full, quick snack ideas are always a plus for us.

Need some quick snack ideas for your family? We are sharing some of our old favorites, as well as a new favorite. | Real Life at Home

I love snack ideas that require little or no prep because it just makes our day run a little more smoothly. Because of this, I try to keep our pantry, refrigerator, and freezer stocked with quick options.

A New Favorite Snack Option

Blueberry Scones from Farm Rich Bakery (found in the freezer section of your favorite store)

This fall, Farm Rich rolled out an entirely new premium line of delicious baked breakfast and snack items – Farm Rich Bakery – giving busy families convenient solutions and easy options for their busy days. These can be found in your favorite grocery store’s freezer area. Our family was recently able to try some of this new premium line. This new line includes Sausage, Egg and Cheese Pull Aparts, Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes, Chocolate Donut Holes, Protein French Toast Sticks, and Blueberry Scones.

We were able to try both the Blueberry Scones and the Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes. Not that scones aren’t exciting, but as you can imagine, my kids were extra psyched to get to try the Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes!

Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes from Farm Rich Bakery (found in the freezer section of your favorite store)

Both the Blueberry Scones and the Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes were easy to prepare, especially with the clear preparation directions on the packaging. Everything looked and smelled so delicious that it was hard to keep hands away from the food long enough for me to snap a few pictures.

They made for a perfect late evening snack for the whole family. In fact, Farm Rich Bakery products can be enjoyed any time of day – during busy mornings, that 3 p.m. hunger strike, or when you’re craving a little dessert. They’re sweet and savory, easy to stock up on, ready in minutes and hard to resist.

As soon as all of the donuts were gone, I already had kiddos asking when I was going to buy more of them. I’d say that is the sure sign of a hit!

Some Quick Snack Ideas We Love

  • Fresh Fruit
  • Snack Bars
  • Cottage Cheese
  • Cereal (both dry cereal for on-the-go and bowls of cereal at home)
  • Whole wheat wraps or small sandwiches – usually with some kind of protein packed filling, such as peanut butter or meat
  • Nuts and seeds – such as almonds, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds
  • String cheese or cubed cheese
  • Smoothies
  • Energy bites – super easy and packed with protein
  • Popcorn – we use our air popper for this
  • Trail mix – especially great homemade, since you can add in the ratios that you want
  • Applesauce
  • Yogurt
