Activities for "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" by Laura Numeroff | www.reallifeathome.com

My boys love all things Laura Numeroff! The very first book of hers that we read was If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. Here are some fun activites that go along with this popular children’s book:

Free Literature Activity Pack from Curriclick

This pack is full of fun activities that go along with this book! It’s full of story cards,  a reading journal, vocabulary cards and cross-cultural activities too. There’s another pack for toddlers and preschoolers as well.

Activities from DLTK

This page has some fun crafts and cooking activities. There’s even a fun memory activity to see how much of the story your kids can remember.

Kindergarten Unit (or Family Night Activities) from Hubbard’s Cupboard

I love this page, it’s a complete unit study around this fun book.  Some of the fun includes Mouse ABC Tic Tac Toe, Cookie Jar Math, Mouse Puppet and a Mouse Listening Maze. There are plenty of fun ideas here to spend a whole day or week with this book and it’s characters.

Flannel Board Set

This Etsy shop has a complete flannel board set to help you retell this story. This set has 17 pieces: 1 glass of milk, 1 straw, 1 jug of milk, 1 box of crayons, 1 story book, 1 pair of scissors, 1 mirror, 1 box with a pillow/blanket, 1 pen, 1 napkin, 1 broom, 1 mop, scotch tape, 1 picture, 1 refrigerator, 1 cookie, and 1 adorable mouse!
