Easy Chicken Bacon Ranch Cheese Ball
Recipe type: Appetizer
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¾ packet Dry Ranch Dressings and Seasoning Mix
  • ⅛ teaspoon onion powder (optional, skip if you don't like onion flavor)
  • ½ cup of real bacon bits or chopped up cooked bacon
  • 2 bundles green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup diced chicken - in the pictures, it is prepared popcorn chicken that was diced after baking
  • Crackers (for serving)
  1. Add your softened cream cheese, dry ranch seasoning mix, shredded cheddar cheese, and onion powder to a large mixing bowl.
  2. Combine the mixing bowl ingredients well either mixing by hand or with a hand or stand mixer.
  3. Add bacon, green onions, and chicken into the mixing bowl. Combine into the existing mixture. You may need to knead the mixture with your hands at this point.
  4. Roll mixture into a ball by hand, making sure ingredients have been well combined. (Don't want to make it into a cheese ball? If you prefer not to make a cheese ball, just make sure your ingredients are well combined and then place into a decorative bowl instead of making a ball.)
  5. Place cheese ball on a plate (or your cheese spread in a bowl) and chill in the fridge for about one hour.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
If you don't want to form this into a ball or are in a hurry, you can place the finished recipe in a decorative dish and serve it as a cheese dip or cheese spread instead. Yum!
