Taco Salad with a Twist
  • Rice (Can use brown or white -- I use brown)
  • Fritos or Tortilla Chips
  • Ground Beef (browned)
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Lettuce, Spinach, or Other Greens of Your Preference
  • Tomatoes
  • Avocados
  • Black Olives
  • Jalapeno or Sweet Peppers
  • Salsa
  • Sour Cream
  • Guacamole
  • Walnuts
  • Coconut Flakes
  1. Prepare ground beef prior to your meal. Add in a packet of taco seasoning and follow directions. However, instead of water, use tomato juice.
  2. Prepare all other ingredients and set them up in a buffet line.
  3. Allow everyone to assemble their own plates.
  4. Enjoy! the rest as you want.
Although walnuts and coconut flakes both might sound odd in a taco salad, unless you really don't like one of these, make sure to at least try it. I thought it sounded insane to add them to taco salad, but they're now my favorite part.
