Throughout this summer, I have been so thrilled to be part of the sponsored Phenomenal Ambassador program for Lean Cuisine and their Feed Your Phenomenal™ campaign. I’ve been so impressed not only with the new meals that Lean Cuisine has added to their familiar favorites, but also with the wonderfully empowering messages that they have been sharing focusing on encouraging women to recognize how phenomenal they are and that their worth is not wrapped up in how they look or how much they weigh. We all need more of those kinds of messages, don’t we?
For my final post, I got to do something super fun: I was able to invite some phenomenal women to my house for an evening of visiting with one another and sharing great food. This food included a collection of some of the new meals from the Lean Cuisine Marketplace line as the main dish for the evening.
It was such a great evening when I was able to get together with these phenomenal women who also happen to be just a small sampling of the wonderful friends in my life. One of the women who came is my Mom, who also just happens to be the phenomenal woman that I wrote about for my second Lean Cuisine post, although she managed somehow to stealthily avoid being in any pictures.
As a small token of appreciation for their awesomeness, I was prepared with a gift card along with a “Thanks for being phenomenal!” note for each of my friends.
As I mentioned, not only did we have an appetizer spread and desserts, but we got to try four of the new meals from Lean Cuisine’s Marketplace subline. You may have noticed already in your trips by the freezer case, but Lean Cuisine has recently re-organized into sublines that are more reflective of the ways women make their food choices.
In addition to this, Lean Cuisine has introduced ten new recipes within the Lean Cuisine Marketplace subline, and developed packaging that now features a bold, new look with each subline looking different. I thought this was nice while shopping, because while the looks are all cohesive, it made it easier to find the specific subline that I was looking for.
The four meals that made up the entrees for our phenomenal gathering were:
- Pomegranate Chicken – This dish is high-protein, gluten free, and includes no preservatives – it also includes 15% daily value of vitamin C
- Vermont White Cheddar Mac & Cheese – This dish is made with pasta, organic butter, and no GMOs
- Sweet and Spicy Korean-Style Beef – This dish is high protein, gluten free, and includes no preservatives – it also packs 15g of protein for lots of energy
- Spicy Beef and Bean Enchilada – This dish is made using ingredients that are naturally gluten-free and no preservatives
My friends were very interested in what I had done as a Phenomenal Ambassador for Lean Cuisine, and my Mom couldn’t help but take a picture while I was talking about it. (So, yeah, I was in the middle of a sentence there.)
It was so fun to hear what everyone had to say about the new Lean Cuisine meals. Everyone loved the new Lean Cuisine meals!
One of the first things that seemed to strike everyone was the quality of the ingredients used. I especially knew it was a good sign when my friends asked which stores I had gone to in order to pick up the meals, so that they could get more of them for themselves.
I would be totally remiss to not mention the big favorite of the night. They joked that everyone should get their picture with their favorite of the meals, but then we realized that everyone had the same favorite. The big winner at our gathering was the Sweet and Spicy Korean-Style Beef meal.
Before I had even had a chance to finish getting all of the entrees ready, I had already been told that I was going to need to make more of Sweet and Spicy Korean-Style Beef. One of my friends who had spent a couple of years living in Hong Kong said that she loved the meal, and that she really liked how authentic it tasted.
If the reactions from my friends are any indication, you should definitely try out the Sweet and Spicy Korean-Style Beef Lean Cuisine meal, as well as trying your way through other Lean Cuisine meals that would best suit your dietary needs and palate. (Shhh…don’t tell my friends, but my favorite was actually the Pomegranate Chicken, so be sure to not miss picking that one up too!)
