It’s been quite some time since I made any new versions of my popular monthly Catholic families activities printables. As I made my way through the year making them, I began to make them in a way to be sure they could be used in any year. This made me lax in making any new ones. However, I decided to work on starting back up with a brand new printable for each month, starting with the 2016 version of the 10 February Activities for Catholic Families printable.

Of course, if you prefer, you can still go grab the 2014 version of the 10 February Activities for Catholic Families. Or, if you want, you could use them both! There is a tiny bit of overlap, but mostly just in mentioning some of the same feast days.
If there seems to be interest because of comments and/or download numbers, I’ll work on having a new version for every month this year (and then I’ll hit January 2017, since I didn’t do a new January one this year). You can still download all the older versions, but this will just give you some new meaningful activities to work on with your family. So, be sure to comment or download (or both) if you hope that I’ll keep making a new set of these! Oh, and also pinning this post or sharing this post on Facebook is another great way to make that happen. (Just click the sharing buttons at the side or bottom of this post.)
You can grab the free download farther down, but here is a run down of all of the activities included in this new version.
10 February Activities for Catholic Families
1. For the feast day of the Chair of St. Peter (Feb. 22nd), pray for our current pope, past popes, and our future popes. Consider doing activities themed around Pope Francis.
2. February is dedicated to the Holy Family. Pick one day to spend together doing family activities all day, such as games, group prayer, outdoor fun, movie night, or whatever your family loves best!
3. St. Brigid (Feb. 1st) started the first convent in Ireland. She founded a school of art that became known for its beautiful illuminated manuscripts. Try making your own illuminated manuscript.
4. Read about St. Paul Miki and Companions (Feb. 6th). Have a Japanese meal or snack.
5. Saint Scholastica (Feb. 10th) was the twin sister of Saint Benedict. For her feast day, you can use a coloring page to learn more about the twins.
6. For the feast of St. Josephine Bakhita (Feb. 8th), pray for safety and strength for Christians living in parts of the world where it is not safe to be a Christian.
7. Make heart shaped snacks or baked goods, and deliver them to elderly neighbors or family members, especially ones that might not get a lot of visitors.
8. The feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes is Feb. 11th. Make a Marian grotto-themed craft or snack. This Rice Krispie one is a favorite of mine.
9. Share God’s Word with others by using Scripture-based valentines.

10. The Presentation of the Lord, also called Candlemas, is Feb. 2nd. Have a meal and some prayer time by candlelight. Talk about ideas for how each family member can give more of themselves to God. (For young children, frame this as asking what they can do to make God happy.)

Oh my goodness, how wonderful! I hadn’t yet found you when you did your older versions, so this is my first time seeing these. Wonderful! I’m going to print these out and keep them on the fridge!

Thanks so much, Vanessa! Your comment really made my day the other day. 🙂

LOVE IT, of course!
The Brigid Craft on the original 10 Things for February, does not seem to be working anymore. 🙁 Love the Rice Krispies one though. THANK YOU

Thanks so much, Francine! 🙂
I think that maybe the St. Brigid one didn’t work for you because it’s a shortened link and some of the characters could look like other characters. When I clicked on it from the post, it worked for me just fine. Here is the longer link to the post: https://www.reallifeathome.com/14-ideas-for-hosting-a-st-brigids-day-playdate/ 🙂
