I mentioned earlier this week that I was getting sick.  I still don’t feel well.  To make it worse, Jack kept complaining about feeling tired on Wednesday.  I just figured that it was a really busy day (since it was), so I didn’t worry about it.  It wasn’t until after he turned down an bedtime snack that I asked him if he felt okay.  Upon taking his temperature, I found that it was just over 100 degrees.  During the night, it got to 103 degrees.  Poor guy!

Thursday evening, his temperature finally got down to normal, but I don’t know if that was just because it was the first time we had alternated between Tylenol and Advil.  I guess we’ll just wait and see.

If I had to make an educated guess, based on what I saw on the news tonight, I think both Jack and I have the flu.  His just seems a lot worse than mine.  For the record, yes, we did get flu shots.

I took a nap on Thursday evening, and when I woke up, the house had been cleaned up!  What a blessing!  Eric is such a good husband.

What was the last thing that your significant other did for you that really left you knowing how loved you are?

Writing out a question just made me think of Molly.  Her new favorite thing to write at the bottom of papers is question marks.  While she does remember (I think) that they are called question marks, she first thought that they were called “mystery marks.”

Even though she knows the real name, she has decided that she still like mystery mark better.  Truth be told – I think I like it  better too.  It makes a question sound so exciting.

Here goes the weekly update of what I have added to Just a Tiny Owl this week (you can click on any picture to go to the listing):

I added in three TTV (through the viewfinder) photographs. These were all printed on metallic photo paper, which gives the whole photo a different look and really makes colors pop.

I also listed the original 16×20 painting of one that I listed a print of last week:

Yep, that’s right.  It’s the original.  So, even though there are prints of it, this is the only original on canvas!

I’ve been thinking this week about whether I want to go to a homeschool convention this year or not.  I would really love to go to one of the big ones (like in Cincinnati), but I feel like what I would like to do most would be to take Eric along then.  Even if we just went for the day, it is still a long time to find someone to watch the kids.

On the other hand, then I think that maybe if I didn’t go to a homeschool convention, then maybe I would spend less on materials for next year.  That being said though, I did feel like I did a much better job last year when I went than in the previous year.

We’re trying! I slept for around 18 hours (off and on) yesterday, and I’m feeling a lot better. Still not 100%, but a lot better. Jack is still kind of iffy, but is also getting better. He is enjoying a strawberry shake right now, so that’s a step up from not eating.

I absolutely love the photo of the flag!!! I’d love to have one like that of the Canadian flag! Hope you feel better soon!

That would be sharp, wouldn’t it, Tammy? I’ve never been to Canada, although I’ve been wanting to go the last year or so. I suspect someday we will. It’s a reasonable drive for us.

I hope you all feel better soon.

I wanted to go to that convention too, but it’s just too far away. I hope you get to go! Take some pics and notes for me :)

How awesome of Eric to clean house for you. At this moment, I can’t think of any particular thing Dave has done. However, he is helpful every day…from giving Abby baths, to folding the laundry if it’s out to long, to making dinner, and more!

Isn’t it awesome to have a helpful husband? Eric is such a great help all the time. I don’t know how I would function if I had one of those very hands off husbands. God knew I needed someone very involved, I suspect. 😉

Sorry to hear y’all are ill.

This morning my husband came out to the kitchen, where I was making lunches for school kids and loading the dishwasher, and said he was sorry he didn’t get up sooner, he had meant to let me sleep in. I very much appreciated the thought, even if it didn’t work out.
